Meet Hani & Zviki

Meet Hani and Zviki. “In our society we have prearranged marriages” says Zviki. “After three meetings I knew Hani is THE girl and asked her to marry me. In the beginning it was a bit embarrassing, but we had such good chemistry so all the shyness just faded away”. Hani adds: “People have misconceptions about ‘Haredim’. Nobody forced me to get married and I’m happy that I choose Zviki. I had couple of options before but then he came along. In the secular world, you fall in love. In our world – you grow in love”.

Seen in the streets of Florentine.

Meet Dorit

Meet Dorit. “It’s been a while since I’ve put my costume on and preformed on the street. I don’t think that people really understand how much effort it takes to be a street statue. In a couple of months you’ll see me performing on the streets of London. I hope to bring a lot of light and color with me to spread around.”

The Pursuit of Happiness

Meet Haya

“I prefer to look like ‘Purim’ than like ‘Tisha B’av’.” (Purim is roughly like a Jewish version of  Halloween, and Tisha B’av is a day of mourning commemerating the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem)

“Sometimes I feel like I’ve got the whole world right here in my hands.”

“3 months ago I was the size of Homer Simpson. When I realized that it was becoming harder and harder to even tie my shoelaces I decided that I had to take drastic steps to lose weight. I lost 30kg’s in 2 months by not eating as much as I used to, and believe me when I say it’s really hard to say NO to a Kanfeh. I really hope I don’t go back to being Homer Simpson!”

‘Tikun OLam’

“I was born in Brazil and was raised as a Christian but I found out that Judaism is the real thing so I converted and came to live in Israel. The concept of ‘Tikun OLam’ blew my mind away and from that moment on I knew that I found my calling. Making this world a better place for all.”

Meet Mordecai

“I was born in Iraq and as a kid I remember my father playing with the Masbaha. Even though it’s used in the Muslim world as a prayer beads I used it to clear my mind. It’s a great tool for restarting your Consciousness.”

Meet Ludmila

Meet Ludmila. “I don’t go to fancy restaurants or luxurious vacations. The little extra I have I prefer to invest in a nice dress or a nice tube of lipstick. The fact that some people may consider me as an ‘old’ person doesn’t mean I need to neglect myself.”
